I have owned it all of a day. Go on, shake your heads...
Yep, I will sell the Yank. The funds will go towards an Extender Q for my FSQ. I will use my Takahashi finder I modified to guidescope (weighs HALF the WO).
So, here we go - $400 gets you the 1 off (yes, 1 OFF, there is no other!) "Kansas" William Optics Zenithstar 66 SD (considered the best visually of all the Zenithstar 66 versions), with the custom Parallax rings (they are NOT WO rings), and the aluminium carry case, and I will INCLUDE postage on it.
Note: there is NO LONGER the silly tripod foot, (hence the rings, der!). What you see in the picture is what you get, as well as the aluminium case.
These come standard with a 1/25" adapter to use a 1.25" diagonal. If you want to use a 2" diagonal, you will need to buy an SCT to 2" adaptor - TONNES on eBay starting at $16, or buy an SCT diagonal (MORE $$$). Why WO made these use an SCT style is anyone's guess - maybe thought seeing it was destined for America and the USA is home to the Meade and Celestron SCT's...
So, here it is. Now third hand. It's pristine optically, the image is LOVELY. The focuser is LOVELY (dual speed, with graduation scale).
C'mon, help me get over my silly impulse purchase and get the Extender Q I REALLY need :)
