Hi guys

Nebula NGC2085 in 3nm Ha (http://fredsastro.smugmug.com/Photography/Astrophotography-1/i-n9gkJMW/A). (click for big). 54 hrs 82 subs at 40 mins each.

Taken on an RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools and Photoshop.

Weather has been shocking lately, so colour is taking a while. It doesnt look "attractive" in a pretty pic kind of way, a bit nasty narley and busy. I think ittle be curved down a bit on the colour version, but its interesting to see its machinations in Ha stretched a bit.

Cheers
Fred

 that's an exceptional image Fred. The complexity of the gas filaments is remarkable - one can't help trying to visualise what might have happened to produce them.

Thanks Ray. Yes, the filaments are all over the place, affected by multiple scources I suppose.

Missed this one. First; well mega'ed 54 hours. Nice going. Secondly the detail is great, so many little knots of gas. Nice composition too. Well done.
