Hello fellas
Weather had changed here in NE NSW today with specks of rain but now pouring flash flooding and large thunderstorms, seen on Grafton radar! Anyway i think Winter is ended here because our coastal waters forecast showing NE winds until end of this month! Maybe continue. Weather through this week could be very wild with rain periods, scattering thunderstorms and squalls.

Latest weather radar and lightning tracker.
Our forecast said, rain periods rest of this week with gusty NE winds with thunderstorms. Next week seems a bit warmer!:eyepop:
Cheers, any comments?
It's only the 24th of July.
One week of slightly warmer than average temps and a few thunderstorms doth not an end of Winter make!

Actually we've just started getting winter. Barely any rain yet until the last few days when we've had a little. Still not large amounts.
This starting of the rain co-incided wonderfully with a trip I took to the wheat belt over the weekend to do astronomy.
Here's hoping for more winter and more rain, I could handle winter all year around - providing there's the odd clear sky night of course.
:)
Roger.

Okay here we come.
Through this week, the rain event will clear on Saturday and extend into Tasman. Weather will be milder this week around 22C days and 10C nights for Northern Rivers. Next week there could be a little cooler but temperatures will still hang around above 20C and same as 10C for night time. Weather will be little dryier next week though. Actually we having early spring this year so it might occur during mid August.

Mattweather,
Certainly has been an interesting week in SE QLD (as much as I would like it to clear, Brissie needs the rain). Where did the quote about the ECL come from?
Some of the Models are pointing at good rain on Friday for Northern rivers and maybe SE QLD. Hopefully it gives us a good soak then clears up and we get some dry clear winter back :)

Aaah, winter, something I'm looking forward to. It has been over 30° C here for more than 2 weeks (first just hot and dry but now it's hot and wet).
