Warning. This is a grayscale image.

Here's my latest on the Jewel Box cluster. 12 x 2400s, 5nm HII filter with the FSQ from Coonabarabran.

Probably one of my best of this object and maybe one of the best I have ever seen. But wait........ there's a little more going on here than meets the eye..................

Amazing. I had no idea there was so much background Ha in that area. New ground there.

Greg.

Hi Paul, I'll be posting the full res to Gigapan soon. It's so detailed, I have to re-do some of the small nebula that are burned out in this version. The Jewel box segment give you an idea of the native res. :-)

Indeed Greg! I've uncovered some amazing fields from UK Schmidt Ha plates that I will be going after.

A fair bit mate. I have always loved this piece of southern sky and wanted to render the Coalsack in a way not seen before. At least not by amateurs.
