Anyone like film cameras? I hear there are still a few about. :hi:

For sale: Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 3xi camera (35mm SLR), with 35-80 Zoom AF lens, UV filter, Minolta camera bag (large), spare/comfy camera strap, manuals and brochures, lens cleaning cloth, fresh lithium battery and 24-exp film. The film and battery are inserted (had to be to prove it works prior to sale) but the battery must be removed for postage.

It's a very nice, padded camera bag - probably worth it just for that - with padded, moveable divider in the main compartment and two side compartments.

I already sold off the premium lenses for this one (to fund other astro projects) but it still has the original 35-80 Zoom AF lens - this is the last lot to go. In case you don't know, Minolta lenses are A-mount, which is the same system used by Sony Alpha (Minolta sold its camera business to Sony years ago). Full-frame Sony and Minolta A-mount lenses are interchangeable.

I'm fastidious about keeping my gear in good condition and this is no exception - it's in absolutely beautiful condition. It never really got much use - I spent too many years locked up in an office - I'd estimate it's had no more than 100 rolls (24-exp) of film go through it in its lifetime.

Everything still works perfectly - like new - including power zoom and eyestart.

It's a beautiful camera, but I just can't justify keeping it when I have more astro gear to buy. :(

I'd prefer local pickup (less hassle) but will post at cost - would need to work out what that'd come to, given package size/weight.

$50 for the lot. No haggling, I'm too tired.
