Well, not quite, but it was the best seeing so far for this Mars season.
Early in the evening I could easily see white ovals on Jupiter at 400x even though the planet was at only 26 degrees altitude. Later when Mars cleared the roof at 20 degrees, it was a spectacular sight, with the blue Hellas basin contrasted against the red albedo markings and a very dark Syrtis Major. There was no hint of Jet Stream early on, but by the time I started imaging, with Mars at 40 degrees, the seeing started to come and go. It was going from quite poor to very good and back several times per minute.
I'm looking forward to hear from other Melbournian imagers.

Hi Stefan

Probably the best seeing that I have seen this Mars season too.
I started imaging at about 1130pm & stopped at about 330.
Best for me was near the end of the session, but better than average all the way through.

Cheers
Maurice

Another fine result, I wish the rainy cloud and weather trough would go away here in Qld.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, rgb with a 16" Dall-Kirkham. Each capture was 100 seconds - no derotation used.
