Sensational Troy. So detailed and sharp yet you got some nice Ha showing through. Love it.

A good choice of lens as well.

Greg.

Cheers, thanks Greg. Yes - love that Siggy! Sigma have really lifted their game with their recent lenses. Hope they have a crack at a 135 f2.0!

Did you shot that recently? Is the MW up already?

Greg.

Was late last year before it disappeared into the sunset. Some zodiacal light is there. Venus was just out of view. Shot this just after I received my full spectrum 6D. This part of the sky was overhead before dawn for my last astro-landscape shoot at Noosa a couple of weeks ago. Loosing Orion, welcome Scorpius :)

That's fabulous Troy. As Greg said, it very sharp and you have captured so much detail. And that lens at f2.2, its tack sharp!

Thank you all for the kind words! Really loving the fs modded 6D and the astrotrac for everything up to 400mm FL.

Was thinking about getting a telescope to image smaller objects on a good EQ mount. Something I could also piggyback mount to and get longer subs with the benefit of auto guiding.

Forgot to comment on this one....really quite something Troy :eyepop: the detail, contrast and colour are all lovely...and not a duplicated self or star trail anywhere :P

Interesting to compare to a 30 year old film/print effort of mine (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/110764947/original) this is a slightly out of focus photo of the glass  which softened the detail but time and technology improves things huh?....ah sigh, how time ticks on...:)
