View Full Version here: : My best Jupiter yet?
I think I've captured my best Jupiter so far with the 9.25.
Went for a drive tonight to IIS member Spearo's place just outside Braidwood.
The sky's were definitely darker and I suspect offer better seeing too.
This is just the first of a number of avi's I took on the night before we were clouded out.
This has had very little work other than Registax and a little levels and colours in PS.
Plenty to see, even without GRS etc :)

Yep! I'd agree when you say its your best yet Matt :)
Well done:thumbsup:
Me thinks I'll have to play a little with this one in Astraimage :D that ok?
: Just a quick split & LR decon. Bit of unsharpmasking blah blah..

Very nice Matt! Must be close to if not your best. Are you finding the motor focus unit you got a big help?
Sorry Asi, on my screen here I prefer Matt's original, great colour!
Cheers,
Thanks Rob.
The motor focuser has made a big difference.
I remember some comments back when we were discussing me getting one. Those comments were along the lines that it's an unnecessary luxury blah blah
I can only speak from recent experience and results that the opposite is the case. It's made a difference IMO
I also agree with you regarding Asi's reprocessing attempt. Perhaps too heavy on the gamma?
But thanks for having a crack anyway, John.

Matt,
well done! This is an Awsome shot of Jupiter!
I put you rpic from 19-07-06 side by side and what a difference!
I'm definitely going to have to try my luck at planetary imageing too having seen your handywork!
