yes i went for two settings, a duller and a brighter version. both 9 panel mosaics made from DMK51 and 127ed:lol::D only tweaked with the same setting in both from Registax, a very subdued wavelets. the moon was an ocean to capture as the seeing was very wobbly

one thing to note is that the difference between the shots is only one camera shutter setting in the capture software?

after Dennis's tutalidge the other night i thought it best to show a cr@p version then the rubbish one ;)

a blend would be good to show all the details but not blown out?

Hi David

Another nice, crisp lunar image from the most prolific photon gather I have ever known, and across so many different configurations of imaging set ups and systems!:):P

Hope you don’t mind, but I’ve done a repro to suit my personal taste, of showing as much data as possible, with scant regard for the tonal range perceived by the naked eye in real life!;)

Cheers

Dennis

Hi David

Here is the workflow for that particular reprocess:

Open file in PS6 - You now have the Original Layer
Copy Original Layer as New Layer 1
Apply Shadow/Highlight to Layer 1 and set Opacity to 67% with Blend Mode as Normal.

“Ctrl Alt E” to create Layer 2 from Original Layer and Layer 1
Apply Topaz Detail “Micro Contrast Enhancement “to Layer 2 and set Opacity to 33% .

“Ctrl Alt E” to create Layer 3 from Original Layer, Layer 1 and Layer 2.
Apply “Topaz Adjust 5, HDR, Light Pop Smooth” to Layer 3.
Set Opacity of Layer 3 to between 33% and 67% (to personal taste) with Blend Mode as Normal.

“Ctrl Alt E” to create Layer 4 from Original Layer, Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3.
Apply “Auto Levels and adjust Opacity to taste.

Cheers

Dennis
