The Milky Way Season is in full swing again. This is a 14 image panorama taken under very dark skies in the heart of the Riverina NSW Australia. The Milky Way was so bright I almost needed sunnies to turn down the glare! Lots of green airglow visible too. I had a lot of company along the way, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Emus, Bunny Rabbits and Foxes, I’m proud to say that to-date with all my driving around nightscaping no creature has been harmed, well except for a couple of bugs on my windscreen and grill.

Thanks for looking.

Cool. I like the extra dark lanes that are seen here past the Southern Cross to the right.
It's good to hear the stories of the encounters people have while out in the nocturnal world.
Safe driving and clear skies:thumbsup:

Nice Job Carlos, my only critic would be the road on the bottom right I find the pano curve a little distracting. Maybe you could have straightened it with some image warping, just a thought

Oh, exciting times ahead with winter approaching. :)

Well done! I would suggest that you crop the image from the right-hand side so that the distance from the edge is equidistant as it is from the left-hand side. It will be a bit more harmonious that way. :)

Thanks Laurie! :)

Thanks Steve, I dread the the day I hit any aminal during my adventures, I just hope it never happens but it case it does I've got some heavy duty gloves and plastic sheet covers in the boot to rush the poor fella to the nearest RSPCA or vet.

I read the other day of an elderly couple that drove past a dead wombat, it occured to one of them to stop a check to see if the wombat was female, turns out it was and there was a little baby wombat in her pouch, the mother was dead but they managed to rescue the baby and take it to a shelter. Who knew, it's something that had never occured to me before. :)

 Good call David! Reckon I'd have a hard time convincing the cops.

Thanks Marc too kind!! :)

Thank you very much Greg!

Thanks Graeme, give it some more time and perseverance. Keep sharing your work here, there's always someone who'll provide you with useful tips and feedback. Just like below, I've already made some adjustments and I thinks it's improved some more.

Cheers Matt! I agree and I made a slight adjustment, what do you think?

Yes bring on winter! Thanks for your feedback H, I've cropped it some and adjusted the foreground road. Your thoughts now?

Thank Daniel! :)

That works! :)

In future efforts, I would like to see more breathing room on either side of the bow.

Top stuff! :)

Hi Carlos, I think that looks better. Good work again, its a fun time of year when we get the central bulge of the milky way for a big portion of the year :)

Very nice idea and execution, Carlos! Natural processing and the second version crop works really well.

Cheers,
Alex

Thanks H! I will definitely keep that in mind :)

Thanks Matt! It sure is, and having just come back from Europe I can appreciate how lucky we are to have so much space with dark skies!

Thanks Mike! Time's ticking!!! :)

Thank you very much Alex! :)

Right turn ahead, follow the road until you reach Alpha Centauri. Then turn left. Remember to bring your towel.

What a great shot.
