Ballina should go..the Gold Coast stops at the border sooner or later this imaginary barrier to the population drift "down" the coast will go and wow ..Ballina only has one 4 storey building, the last time I looked, now look North a lttle..cant be held back high rise must hit. And probably not too late to buy in even though prices seem that they cant go higher..they will of course.

Our population is going down

Our District (Pyrenees) has a current Pop of 6548
Our Town (Snake Valley) has a current Pop of 350

Although Snake Valleys Pop is slowly going up, the whole District is actually going down.

Read the projection made in 2004 here. They were right, it's gone down already: http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/CA256F310024B628/0/0FFD1BA29572F9DCCA256F8C001BF10D/$File/Pyrenees.pdf

That's amazing, 33South. I find it hard to imagine that if every single person in the BMCC area headed to Homebush we wouldn't come close to filling the stadium. Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting your data - I just find it a surprising statistic.

Yeah and well alot of things had changed here since then! Now we have 4 6 floors highrises. Two new highrises is now on construction, new Ballina International Hotel and Watermark building. They are both 6 storeys anyway. Ballina RSL club getting its new project of 7 floors twin highrises and expansion of the club! Another new project will persist behind ballina police station with new 500 marina berths, more highrises, shopping centre and others that i forget lol. This project will be complete in 2009 or 2010.

Other thing is Ballina bypass will be start construction mid next year:)! Lennox Head urban land is joining up into Ballina urban land!:eyepop: Completely with large land releases and huge developments as cities such as Gold Coast and Sydney.

Well there you go. I realised I had not been there for 3 or 4 years.. so my prediction was right I am just behind whats happening it seems.
If I were a young and ambitious person I would be getting my hands on every cane field on the Ocean there.. it is certain to become just like the Gold Coast WaterWays..and depending on the engineering limits 30 stories can be found on the Gold Coast the same will come to Ballina.
I mean if you could pick anywhere Balinia is as about as perfect as you can get..best climate, close to stuff lots to do etc

I just live to the West up in the hills, Ballina is one place that is easy to visit from here. Just for what ever reason I have not been over there for a while. Real Estate was my business so I tend to notice whats going on or spot what would be a good place to buy into. I dont do that anymore it is stressfull work. All the area West out to where I am and past it will develop in time. When I was young I used to listen to the old timers (like me now) talk about how they bought x acres after the war for $(small amount of cash) and now it was worth a fortune..its not rocket science and the inflation of land will not ease in the long term it can only speed up.. still 100 acres of cane farm would not be cheap but that much land as high rise..millions upon millions. Send me 1% of any profit from my advise if you remember.

Yeah Tabulam i saw that in your profile. A great spot to see nice stormies:) How that stressful in real estate? Ballina is pretty long away from Tabulam, Casino and Lismore City is easier but how you mean Ballina is easier? I greatly love beautiful Ballina/Byron Gateway:)

It is a case of it is easy to decide to go there rather than say Texas way out West.
I consider from Evans Head to Brisbane "my turf" although I prefer being at home really.
Making big money involves big leverage and when you have 5 or 6 times credit out more than you feel happy about that is stressful. It may be other peoples money but I worry about their money more than mine.

(Texas the little town reminds me a tornado plains)

Yeah sound great to me. Summerland is our region but Northern River is a proper name for our region though. I am happy to meet local people like you in this forum. I am greatly appreciated to make new friends. As i prefer Northern Rivers is the fastest growing region and greatly popular in Australia.

Before our next storm season starts, i wondering if you like to post about our weather conditions and some what you have from the storm. Here (http://www.supercellhunters.myfreeforum.or g)
Yeah i know that i am not allowed to spam in this forum, i would take my luck to see Tabulam's weather conditions:):)

I am not sure what you ask of me however if you want me to be a weatherman I must decline.. when there is a storm I crack up the open fire, it is too dangerous to move around outside..trees kill and many fall in a storm.. it is matter to respect. I only do lightening photography when in a town with a awning for protection.
Nice site and I find it very interesting.
I could put you in touch with someone who may help if you wish it I will ask..he has just got on the net and like me lives on top of one of the mountain tops.

Who is he? What mountains tops? I do understand what you saying about protections, but it doesn't matter what you doing for weather. Just take a look and see what you saw, especially every body does.

Geez matt not everyone gives a toss about the weather, how bout you go look yourself? Or even better, ring the Bureau of Meteorology and ask them. This is getting a little WAY off topic.

I see the coles of an open fire and three black dogs in every storm from my chair in front of same, out side is just cloud, rain and mist..I cant see as far as the edge of the clearing. You can run that each time it is the way of the mountains
