Hi,
Here's a tough one for an unmodded DSLR!
IC 443 the jelly fish nebula, only gets up to 31 degree's above the Northern horizon, so there's not much of a window for taking decent subs.
This is a cropped image just to show the brighter part of the nebula. Still I'm pleased that I was able to show quite a bit detail in the head of the jelly fish.
It took a lot of processing to get this much, ( see original frame ).
8” F/4 astrograph , baader type coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D. Cooler box.
16 x 8 minute subs ISO 800 . Darks, Flats and bias frames applied. Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker .Processed in Photoshop 7 .
Cheers,
Justin.
