There were moments of good seeing this morning. I was able to use 690x magnification for a bit of a visual observation when I finished the imaging run. The views through the LRGB filters were amazingly similar to what the processed images look like - no surprise there, but it was the high magnification that really did the trick.

Those are very good indeed, a good smooth clean blue with RG is always pleasing.

Nice work Stefan.
From here the seeing was so variable that I almost gave up.

Stunning Stefan. I would have liked a look through the eyepiece at that!

You are definitely breaking new ground on Mars imaging Stefan. Can't imagine what it would look like at 24 arc seconds (in 2018) if it is this detailed at 12 !!!

Nice going Stefan,

Looks like the seeing must have improved as the morning went on - I imaged at 3:30am and the seeing was really variable.

John.
