Thanks for the comments and sorry for the late reply...I've been on a photon gathering field trip.

The focal length used was about 11m.



It is one that I made myself. All epoxy/carbon structure on Alt-Az fork mount with Bartels drive. Field rotator and peltier cooling built in as part of the design.
You should have a go with the CDK, but I doubt that it is really diffraction limited on axis because it may not have to be (for deep sky work).
