Hello,
Distant from Earth 11 736 light years in the southern constellation of Carina, NGC 3199 is classed as a diffuse nebula, embedded with a highly assymetric Wolf-Rayet star close to the center of the ring. The nebula is about 75 light-years across.

A Wolf-Rayet star is hot, short-lived and generates an intense stellar wind. The one in NGC 3199, as mentioned, has a highly asymmetric morphology, with a very bright hemisphere near the exciting star HD 89358 and a much fainter and more extended opposite hemisphere.

This nebula is modeled in terms of the distorted bubble produced by a moving star blowing, a strong stellar wind into a surrounding uniform interstellar medium.

This image is a LRGB standard enhanced by narrow band data from captures of 12 subframes of 20 minutes for each channel (Ha, O3 e S2).

The subs of LRGB folloed the sequence showed below:

Lum: 10x900sec bin1x1
RGB: 10x600sec bin2x2

Set-up:
Scope: Esprit 120 f/7
Mount: CGE-Pro
Camera: ST8300M
OAG and Filter Wheel: SBIG 8300
Guider CCD: Lodestar
Darks, bias and Flats applied

Thank you very much !! As for the link, I just double checked and it is working for me here in Brazil. Maybe a little of this internet thing, so that the link should be OK for you within a couple of minutes.

Thanks for your time.

Beautiful image of this interesting target. Excellent processing, you've really brought out all the colour variations in the nebula and surrounding dust, very nice!

I was just sitting here and thinking how your imaging skills have changed in the period of time that I have known you Fernando.

Your stars are round, detail sharp and processing very smooth. This image is testimony to that. I enjoyed looking around this image. Maybe just a little pink for my liking but that is dealers choice. Thanks for posting.

Thank you very much Rick, although even with the new script in PI, this process is still a little demanding.

Thank you Alan. Go ahead, it is a great object to be imaged.

Hi Mike, I deeply appreciated your comments and kind evaluation. Thank you !!

Hey Paul, it's been a long time since we met man, maybe 10 years !! I have great affection for you because at that time we used to exchange a lot and you never refused to pass me good hints and information that allowed me to improve. I keep until today a picture of the crew of the SCP you sent me showing all the good people that helped you with the management of the site.
During these 10 years, I suffered a lot with 4 surgeries on my back and a definitive partial disability. During the recovering time between the surgeries, I was logged everyday in SCP, reading everything, looking everything. That helped to cross the storm to these days
That is why your comment here find a so deep echo in my person, and for that I would like humbly to thank you very much.

Best Regards, from your friend at the other side of the globe,

Fernando
