SPX350 F37.2, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB filters.
Mars 1514-1625hrs UT
Saturn 1653-1752hrs UT
A clear night for once with no wind and 6.5/7 seeing. Cloud was not far away when it cleared at 1am but it remained clear till dawn so I got a go at Saturn for the first time. Mars showed good detail but seeing was inconsistent as usual and would ocassionally settle, some blue cloud over Hellas. Rings of Saturn are wide open now and the Hexagon head cap clearly visible nearly all the way around.
Mars R RGB 4sets in a gif.
Saturn R RGB only one good set at 1719hrs.
Thanks, John.
Stunning work John. I love the animated Mars - surreal how detailed it is....

Spectacular john !!
Saturn exgon with a fantastic view, also Mars animation very qualitative !!!
Mars is not at the closest conditions but it's already very detailed in your images.

Nice resolution but shame about the RRGB because that way you loose much of the cloud detail.

Yes you are right RGB shows colour/cloud better but the RRGB give the detail which I went for this time. Here is an RGB and the cloud in the Hellas crater in the South is a little fuller and overall colour is better.

Fantastic work John, love the RGB Mars image.
Syrtis Major hemisphere is the most photogenic side of the planet imo.

I think you still have all the detail and now the blue haze over Syrtis as well.

Outstanding. I don't if there was a competition. But if there was one. You won it.
