Dents and dust... I thought that would be expected wear given what it is designed to do?

There are some quite nasty holes. They were, of course, anticipating some but they are a bit surprised at how many they have at this point in the mission. This contributed to the decision to drive over Dingo Gap in search of a smoother path.

There's a very detailed discussion about this happening on UMSF if anyone's interested:

It looks like cheap plastic wheels.. Like a fracture you would get on one of those old Green Machine things (https://www.google.com.au/search?q=Green+Machine&espv=210&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HeoOU4WKEIqqkgXh9oD4DQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=955#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=IaQ32Wfm5F2UxM%253A%3BXtsalbm XF2XrvM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.hu ffybikes.com%252Fimages%252Fproduct s%252Fxlarge%252F98223_XL.jpg%3Bhtt p%253A%252F%252Fwww.huffybikes.com% 252FProducts%252FProduct.aspx%253Fp id%253D728%25257C2%25257C10%3B2133% 3B1521)

Everyone knows your nice alloy wheels are going to get 'gutter rash' eventually. Anyway, I think it just needs a wash and a turtle wax. We obviously need to send a Car Lovers to Mars. :)
