Hi Gang,
I feel asleep middle of the way and took 44 x 84 second exposure at it autoguided. Was planning to only take 15-20 :P
Comments welcome.

Hi Eric,
tracking is spot on there. That is a big galaxy.

Well done Eric...yep tracking looks good.
You can never take too many exposures...always strive for more exposures then not enough.

you should fall asleep more often!
lots of detail there
but if your tracking is this good why stop at 84 seconds? why not go up to to 2 or even 5 minutes????

thanks seeker :) i needed the sleep. Currently just testing the autoguiding so i sticked to my 84sec just incase. Also, if there are frames that need to be discarded due to cloud coverings, tracking error, pec etc, i will feel better discarding a 84 sec frame than a 5 minute frame :P

Eric,
Yea, longer subs would help. This is actually a tough galaxy to image (aren't they all :D ).
A nice image, though it could have been frammed a little better.
Cheers

Yes, sub exposures make up the stack.
