Old video Hi 8 player needed.

Hi,
I am after an old video 8 player or recorder / player or even a VHS adapter tape so I can view some tapes of my family and of Sister who passed away many years ago.
At one point in time I had a VHS tape that could accept these small tapes inside of it, and then play them in a VHS player.
I also used to have a recorder that used mini 8 or Sony hi 8 tapes, but it went to meet its maker years ago, and I now have nothing to play these tapes on.
If anyone has one, I would be happy to pay for it if it still works to play tapes.
I don't intend to use it to record, just play and re-record these tapes I have.

Geoff, I bought a DV camera which takes hi8 (I think it's a Sony) with the intention of converting my analog hi8 tapes to DVD. (My canon camera had stopped playing tapes possibly due to dirty heads).

I've done the conversion but have to double check to make sure I haven't missed any.

The camera still records nicely and will play/record both digital and analog hi8.

I was going to put the camera back on eBay to recoup the money I spent, if you're interested I'll be selling the camera once I've confirmed that I have successfully transferred everything.

If you're in a hurry, you could alternatively look on ebay for a similar camera, they seem to sell for around the $100-150 mark, simply because the're getting rarer and people like us have old hi8 tapes.
