The seeing was poor to mediocre but Mars is getting big and being high in the sky, it is easy to capture detail on it.

I'm continually stunned by the quality of Mars photographs in this forum recently. Not just yours Stefan but from many people including yourself.

I don't know what kind of space telescope you guy's are using but it's a good one! I'm sure if threw a DMK21 on my scope it would still give me the same small blurry images of Mars I captured in the early 2000's!

Great image Stefan, Valles Marineris is quite prominent!

Some interesting detail still clear to see even with acg seeing, makes you wonder what fine detail good seeing will give.

John.

Thanks for the comments!

Roger,

It would be nice to have some mars imagers in WA, to extend the coverage of weather events on the planet. If something occurs near the western limb as seen from eastern Australia then the observing span could be extended by at least one day.

I don't know anyone here specialising on planetary and on a regular basis these days. Must be someone!

Good result for the conditions Stefan, things are shaping up nicely for a successful Mars season.
