You can also just manually set the backlash via yr HBx!!!!!

For GPS and RCX scopes, there are also other ways to semi automate the drive training using a webcam, then set/change yr backlash and test for efficiency of setting whilst watching the video for twitches on reversal.
If you have a 497 handbox with Richard Seymours patch loaded, you can also do automated drive training as well as manually set drive train values. ( which you cant via the Hbx or serial commands )
