Here's another couple of shots I did around NGC2626 in vela. It's pretty faint so still a little noisy. 3 panels of 15x5min each with the C11/Hyperstar. Bit of moon glow the second night but the extra data made up for a little more contrast. There's a bigger one here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/NGC2626_ha_HS3_pano_fff.jpg) and a plate solve here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/NGC2626_ha_HS3_pano_fff_T.jpg) that unfortunately tagged a lot of boring stars but not many nebulosity. I'm not sure what all this stuff is catalogued under but I think the bright one at the bottom left is GUM something. NGC2626 is the little crescent shaped neb in middle right. I also have attached a larger wide-field I did a couple of years ago with a 100mm lens showing it in context in the whole complex. It's at the bottom of the middle panel. Big chunk of sky with a lot of Ha. :)

Great looking photo Marc.
I love the tones and contrasts.
You really need to attach your colour camera to the Hyperstar.

Nice shots Marc. If you have an O111 filter the Vela area is a good target for bicolour.

Thanks Rick.
Thanks Ross. Too much work to do coolout from home. Not enough time.
Thanks a lot Louie. Yeah Vella is full of Ha goodies.
Thanks Greg. I do but I don't think I'd get a good ebough SNR in Oiii from my light polluted skies. It's pretty shocking. Gradients galore.

Could be RCW 32 [H-alpha emission regions in Southern Milky Way (Rodgers+ 1960)], Marc. Less likely Cederblad 106 [Catalog of bright diffuse Galactic nebulae, Cederblad, 1946)].

RCW 32 is the bright one at the bottom left. You're right. Looks like a mini-trifid. Don't know about the bigger one.

Thanks for looking guys. Yes Bob, the 'bright' one is pretty faint already. The other one much fainter but the dark lanes popped up alright.
