I am really surprised that the TEC160ED hasn't sold yet..it has been advertised for a while and it is priced ok unlike the AP155EDF also up for sale after failing to reach the reserve price at auction. I have a TEC160FL so I am a happy camper :D

I made my first Astromart purchase today. I am a bit excited, even though it was only an Orion Atlas tripod, it is the exact tripod I was searching for. Coming along shortly is a DM4 to put on it, and then my first APO. :)

Yes, some Astromarters will sell and ship their second hand gear to international buyers,

I'd love the TEC Mak. Just not sure if it'll be as good as my Skywatcher...:P

La la la la la la
Yeah that TEC Mak sure looks sweet....never convinced of the security of big ticket items from places like that though

Which one are you going to get Morton?
I am a happy camper at the moment. I have been waiting for a good used NP101 to come up. An 'is' version came up through Astromart yesterday and I bought it. It was used once and then traded back in for a TOA150. The dealer said it's basically a new scope, manufactured at the end of last year.
Sorry to hijack your thread, but I was busting to tell someone.

There was a TEC180FL as well...but it didn't last 24 hours. TEC160ED still up for sale.
I note a new TEC140 is $5700 but the two up for sale have an advertised price $5K+ for 2 year old scopes...might be better to buy new.

If I'm not mistaken there is still a wait time for these scopes. A few months. Isn't it? At least for that price you get it immediately?

I've read elsewhere that it can be up to 10 years, but maybe that's for the bigger ones?

Not sure of the availability on the 140. I was surprised that the brand new price is only around $5700, although you need to add a case ($460) and rings ($280), but still a reasonable price for one of the best scopes around. GST and exchange rate on top, of course.
I won't be buying one any time soon, but it would be nice. It's also the biggest refractor that my DSV-3 mount can support :D

Or alternatively, a C11 with twice the aperture :D
MortonH

True. $3k for a C11 at Andrews. Focal length is 2800mm though. I'd only ever need my 40mm Paragon. :P

Nah, you could use the others in the ZS66 once mounted as a finder scope
