Mars from Melbourne 12th Feb LT

Hi everyone,

Hard to post after seeing John's impressive image but here it is...

Imaged this morning in mediocre seeing with poor transparency due to the smoke haze. I was however happier with my processing and the appearance of the following limb. With Mars getting higher now I need to demonstrate some limb foreshortening on the tree in my back yard :)

Some fair detail for its size and the seeing, there seems to be a bit of misty stuff around of late.

Your image was taken later than John's and shows the polar streak quite well. It's location has moved eastward from where it started.
