SPX350 F36.4, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB. 1550 UT.

An average night but during the only run the reds were terrible but greens and blues looked good enough. First time I have got Olympus Mons, there seems to be a bit of cloud around. Keep getting ringing at the edge especially the red channel. So long since I processed Mars I am not sure of the colour.

Interesting that your image seems to show the polar disturbance even though the original location (CM180) is right on the western limb. It must be spreading in an eastwardly direction.

How long did the entire set up take before the magic shot?

You have to collimate the mirrors perfectly on a bright star which takes me about 5-10 mins then finding the little devil at 12meter fl which is not easy. You wait another 5 mins to preset the exposures for each filter using the histogram (Firecapture software) and just sit and watch to see how seeing is changing before going for the first run. I go for 3 mins per filter.

Lots of watching and waiting with an eye on possible cloud/rain this time of the year in Brisbane, very boring if seeing is avg but steady moments can appear anytime. Cloud came quickly only giving me one run which was unfortunate as things looked promising.
