Hi All

This morning I grabbed a few frames across the active areas of the sun's equatorial belt. Took 4 avi's to create a 4 frame pano with tons of overlap.

Taken with the Lunt 80, DMK23U274 and 2.5X televue. It pretty much captures the current active regions on the sun.

An eye popping Hi-Res image at 60% scale on the following Flickr Link :):

Thanks for looking.

Nice Hi Res Ted. Very fine detail when you get close to the image.

Thanks Ralph. Yes when you get good detail in solar images it is hard to appreciate unless you get some scale on the screen. That is why I chose to link it to a Flickr image rather than use the 200kb limit. It is a bit inconvenient to throw to another URL but it is worth it.

Humm... processing of the high frequency components looks a tad over-boosted to me...

But nice solar imagery just the same

Thanks Peter, Yes I need to pull the foot off the pedal a little. Sometimes you go down a processing path and it is hard to go back. I have been experimenting lately with different processing. Easily fixed when I do the repro. :)
