Last night (Thursday) I was checking out the moon and tried to take a photo with my iPhone. It was a bit tricky but none the less I got one or two. It doesn't take much to lose focus. I then thought "I wonder if I could use my DSLR without an adapter". So I did. I just held the lens of the camera up to the eyepiece and snapped away. This is what I ended up with. Could be clearer with focus but I'll keep trying. I will still buy an adapter though. My camera is only basic DSLR. It was interesting as I couldn't take any pics of Jupiter through the eyepiece even though it was quite visible through it. I'd have thought what ever was in the eyepiece is what the camera would see? Anyway, not to worry.
