I managed to get some colour for this obscure thing I posted the other day. The result is a bit soft partly because everything was binned 2x2 and some focus problems that cropped up unexpectedly. One thing that this image does show is that it's a very red nebula. Virtually nothing in the green and blue channels at all.
Cheers

10 hours exposure and still so faint--pretty difficult object. Well done Steve.

Thanks Geoff. I have some even more difficult ones on the list to do but I don't know when I'll get round to them.

Nice work Steve!
Think I'll give this one a miss though, just a little faint for my setup.
Cheers,
Justin.

Thanks Justin. It's basically a H alpha object so that would make it even more difficult for an unmodified DSLR.

That's incredible, 10 hours binned 2x2 and still so faint. A beautiful image Steve!

The final colour version looks good, faint obscure object but intriguing :)

Thanks guys. I'm currently working on an even fainter one but it's going to take a while.
