Want something that screws on to an LX90 SCT thread... and then you can screw a 2" threaded part onto that.... does it exist?

Basically... an adapter that converts the SCT thread to a 2" thread... seen some online... but they seem to be SCT thread to 2" barrel type thing for eye pieces and the like... not threaded.

Anyone?

assuming you want an internal 2" thread, a 2" threaded pipe union might be the go..im pretty sure its the same thread as the sct back.try bunnings its hardly a big investment (but it wont look as nice as black anodised)

What's different about the Meade 2" thread compared with Celestron?

Something like this?

Scopestuff (http://www.scopestuff.com/ss_ta4p.htm)

2" Very Low Profile T-adapter for Direct Photography

This one-piece adapter has 2" male barrel and male T-threads, and has
a very low profile. Male T-threads on one side, 2" barrel with 2" filter
threads on the other side. Black anodized aluminium

Cheers

I was under the impression the SCT thread is a 2" thread at 24tpi. perhaps if we knew what it is you want to attach to the back of the SCT.
Ie do you need a male or female thread to attach to. For example the so called 2" filter threads aren't actually 2", they're M48.

These people will make an adapter to connect anything to anything.
