Hi All,

It's cleared up again over Melbourne.

NGC 2467 in narrowband. only two hours for each emission line.

Sorry Mike, ran out of time for RGB stars, maybe tonight.

Larger version here (http://www.astrobin.com/full/76794/0/)

Very nice Stuart

RGB stars will look very good in this image, although, its a great result already.

That's nice Stuart. Very nice, and I like the white stars, weird I know, but they give a certain iciness to the picture that is somehow appropriate. In my head anyway :-)
Will be interested to see the RGB star version still.

Your are turning out some excellent images with that system Stu

The ASA optics seem have a unique "snap" to them. Very impressive

Good grief. I have been struggling with 2467 and you post this. That's it, I'm giving up astronomy and taking up sleeping. :P

I well remember feeling the same way when Brad Moore posted an image of the Tarantula nebula, I thought I'd never get to that standard. Probably still haven't, but with practice and the right gear you get close. Close enough for me anyway.

Posting pics is supposed to act as encouragement...

Yeah I know. I'm just clowning around. But I will never reach that standard.

Thanks Stuart, an interesting image. I looked at 2467 this morning with my 16" and saw the greenish part easily and some of the blue/white areas using a UHC filter.

Looks good Stu. I like the colours and the field of view is perfect for the object.

Hi Glen,

Interesting, I haven't tried to look at many deep sky objects from home, too much light pollution. You have to remember that these colours are completely false, the image is dominated by the Ha. There is quite a bit of OIII, but it's diffuse and would be quite dim even through a larges scope.

Thanks Paul, no mega data, but enough to do some serious sharpening. Was going to add some more to the luminance with some more Ha data, but something else has my interest now. But if the weather co-operates...

Another cracker Stuart, the sort of colour balance and look I love. I think you could teach me a bit about processing ;).
