I spent a week in snow covered Andorra, a small Principality in the Pyrenees Mountains, landlocked between France and Spain.

That one makes me home sick. I spent 3 months on top of that mountain from October to January 1992 doing dilatometric tests for the tunnel d'envalira they did between Andorra la Vella and El Pas de la Casa. The only way to go at the time was over the mountain.

Effective scenery Carlos, funny how other countries landscapes seem very refreshing compared to the Australian bush, but then visitors to Aus look at the bush in awe & amazement ?
Very nice capture

I'm sorry Marc :( I know how that feels.

Andorra is stunning, I don't think I can go back to Euskadi without spending a few days in Andorra.

Funny you mention that tunnel, we were staying in Arans near Ordino. we drove to El Pas de la Casa and on the way back I took a wrong turn and drove straight into that tunnel. What a tunnel :eyepop: Straight through this huge mountain, GPS went blank and we were hoping to come out somewhere familiar, turns out the exit was only 5 minutes from home, no toll, free. Loved it.

The week we were there I drove literally N,S,E,W across all the main and secondary roads until we he hit the borders, sight-seeing and scouting for nightscapes. The only road closure was the secondary road between Canillo and Ordino.

After seeing Andorra during winter I would now love to see it at the start to mid of Autumn when those oaks roble turn yellow, orange and red. The sight of the mountians in those colours must be breath taking.

Thanks Laurie!

Thanks Bob! Very true, most visitors I've shown around here just gasp at the sight of the night sky and as you say the bush, so much space and so easy to get lost out there!

Thank you Ingrid, yes I much prefer the cold, acclimatising to sunbaked Oz has been difficult. Missing the snow.

Thank you very much Trevor it was, every corner we took presented itself with amazing scenery.

That's a stunning image. What lens was that?

Greg.

Thanks Greg! It took me by surprise too, uncropped only editing needed was the lens correction in PSRAW.

I was using the Canon 24-105 4.0 L - I can't remember the settings off the top of my head, I think I may have stopped it down to 6 or 8 and ISO 100.
