Hi,

I am launching into spectroscopy with my Yr 12 physics class and wonder if any one would be willing to post a photo of a spectrum produced by a Staranaliser 100. We will be using this with a Canon 60Da through a william optics Flt 110. It would be perfect for part of my lesson tomorrow.

I can't wait.

Mark

Hi Mark

Sadly I haven't got one, but please keep me posted on how your lesson(s) go - I'm teaching projectile motion at present.

Merlin66 (Ken) might be able to help out.

Here is a low-res version of my most recent spectrum of the nova in Centaurus, along with a number of other nearby stars.

This was taken with a Star Analyser 100 and an Atik 383L+ mono CCD on a 10" dobsonian.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the first image has been stretched, so may not work depending on what you want to do with it. I've uploaded a second version that is still reasonably linear.

Came in a bit late.
The attached image is a poor jpg from a full frame Canon450 shot of Vega with a SA100.
I can supply the original .cr2 file to an email address if needed.

Some more spectra, these are with the same telescope as before, but used a Celestron NexImage 5 to record the image.

Thank you all and that is great.
