Hi All,

Loving the clear skies over Melbourne for the last week or so, things are back to normal now, total cloud cover.

NGC 3324 in Hubble space telescope(ish) narrowband palette, about 2 hours for each of Ha SII and OIII, probably should acquire some more data though.

Hi Stuart,
Wow - that's a great image.
The narrow band makes it look like a pool of blue water
whereas HaRGB looks so different as per here:

well done.

I will make this my next target.

cheers

Great work Stuart, what length subs are you taking?

I like this one Stuart, you're getting some very nice results lately  My only small wish was that there was at least some colour in the stars, I prefer any colour over desaturated white :)

On the way Mike.

I kept running into cloud at about 0230 to 0300 and the imaging run would stop short of the LRGB for the stars. It only takes 30 minutes, but every night of late has been cut short by clouds in the morning or fog on Sunday.

Hi Brett,

I'm using 15 minute subs. Thirty minutes would probably be better, but if something goes wrong you can lose a lot of imaging time. I've also had trouble getting stable temperatures in the observatory when it's been hot, so 30 mins is enough to shift focus. These 15 minute subs seem to be working OK.

Thanks Louie,

I like it too, but having seen Mike's I'm going to reprocess it. I had a fiddle with it a few nights ago and did a comparison between Mike's and mine, I have some contrast enhancement to do.

Again, I'll be watching a couple of Atalas.net videos.

Cheers
