I have a couple of feeds from 7timer (http://www.astropic.net/weather/)that seem locked to the 27th of January 2014. Have the URL for feeds changed lately or is it an issue with 7timer itself? TIA.
It's an ongoing issue with their servers and they have had to upgrade it manually in the past. It normally comes back in a few days.
Renders astropanel useless too as they use the same data in case anyone was wondering.

 Somebody must be reading this forum. The feeds are now up to date. :)
There you go :D
It has been the same though for everyone the last few days so you didn't imagine it. :)
Yes I've been wondering that for a long time  so thank you for that Jarrod. Except in my case, Astro Panel stopped working about 12mths ago and I could never get it back even after a few tries of re-loading it from the Google Play store. Never mind... I can still access it easy enough on my lappy as I have a tab on my browser for it now.
Suzy, have you tried astropanel in the last couple of days?
It seems to be back up but sounds like you are having a separate issue with it on your device which I haven't a clue about.
Sorry.

It's down again this morning. What a pain. Time to look for another reliable astro forecast.

Skippy Sky?
Hi Jarod, no, I haven't tried it in the last couple of days as I've taken the astropanel app. off my phone because it wouldn't work after a long time even after re-loading from the google store, so gave up. It's all good- I prefer it on my lappy now anyway. Thanks for trying to help tho.

It hasn't worked since early Feb. Had to put a 5s timeout on my site on all image feeds. Hope they'll sort out their server issues. Or have they changed their URL? Googled around but couldn't find anything.

chinese new year over there people
the server is hosted at some university over there
looks like we have to wait till uni starts again and they realise the server is down

Ok - so chinese new year was from 24th Jan to the 9th Feb
so maybe they have not paid their internet bill
geoff
Still down.
Just looking out the window here I think SE Qld has quite a bit more summer cloud to run off before I have to worry about the astro forecast though!

Yeah I'ver had a few people ask me about SkyHarbinger not working and have told them that the 7Timer website and servers all seem to be gone. Hopefully it will return in some form or another, it was a great service.

Yeah have just had reports that Sky Harbinger is accessing data now though it is old data. We just have to wait for them to re-stablish their data collection system.
From what I have heard their server suffered a complete crash and had to be restored so it may take a few days for it to get back to running 100%.
Cheers,
Simon

Observer Pro has been down for a few weeks now because of this issue.
Very frustrating.

Finally, it's back up, of a sort!
Once their data catches up, hopefully things will be back to normal.

Hi all
Just had a look at 7Timer and it appears that things are back to normal.
The site loaded within 0.5 seconds and data was current.
Let's hope it remains that way!
Sky Harbinger is still timing out with a you can try again in a few minutes or change your timeout settings message.

not quite!
only the 3 day forecast and the 3 day astro forecast are working ( and i think a little further behind than normal)
but it's a start
apparently they are having a problem keeping the server up because of the demand - so they have disabled a few other features

After an absence of almost 6 weeks Observer Pro's weather link is finally working - albeit only with a three day forecast.

It was working this morning. I was scared to overuse it, in case it broke.
Now it's broke!

Today's temperatures (http://www.astropic.net/weather/) seem offset by a couple of hours. 18c at 13:00 then 28c at 19:00

Astropanel worked this morning for the first time in ages. Looks like good seeing in Sydney tonight!

Seeing was decent last night Morton. Was lucky enough to turn my scope to Jupiter at ~10PM. Shadow transit and a moon was emerging from the other side of Jupiter at the same time. Fairly sharp images to about 300x. Could have been good local seeing though. Don't remember the last time I had a more memorable moon image at the eyepiece either now that I think of it.
Great to see 7timer on the way back up! Skippysky has been working alright too. The 6 hour intervals between forecasts have been limiting in predicting conditions though.

Got a bit of a look at Jupiter as well. But my view over a busy road tends to limit the seeing. Saw the transit though.

Yeah Sky Harbinger is now picking up data successfully. I suggest patience though until they are up 100%.

The astro feed seems to be down again. It's been over a week now so it's not a glitch of sort. The IP still shows the site and pages but the image generation bit for the astro forecast is down.

their DNS seems to be down again
been down now for a few days
works if you use the bare IP address
just have to wait till they sort their DNS problem

Astropanel (Android) has just been updated recently. The feeds are working through there, where they weren't last week.
I just tested it, and I am getting current data for my area.

I use the bare IP but the feeds don't work at all for me. The server isn't down and DNS is ok. It's just the functionality generating the map that's not working for me.
