Re-processed Uranus

Well guys I had a go this evening at re-processing my Uranus AVI from the other night. I took 2 AVI's that evening and the AVI with lower gamma was best.

I really had to play around with the intensity levels when recombining and using ME Deconvolution try and bring out what ever is there (artifacts or belts). The contrast sliders were moved to the max in Registax and increased again the Astra Image and Photoshop.

Hello John,

Looking at your image there appears to be some light and dark areas visible. However from all the images I have seen of Uranus it is extremely featureless, with an almost uniform shade of blue or blue/green, becoming gradually lighter towards the main source of reflected light from the sun.

Given those images were taken a lot closer, the light and dark areas in your image would seem to indicate some aberration in the imaging or processing itself ? Never the less it's a good pic, showing the planet as a blue ball with some distinct reflected gradation of light. Very impressive, I like.

yes, it appears to have some sort of surface feature on there... I dont know if its true surface feature or not but its interesting...
