View Full Version here: : Wanted Illuminated Reticle EP
Hi All,
Would anyone have for sale a medium focal length Illuminated Recticl EP,
It dosn't have to be very flash, as i just want it for drift alinging purposes, nothing else.
Thanks, Leon :)

Got an old binocular eyepiece hanging about Leon? If so, drag a set of crosshairs across the field stop. I have used "streamers" of glue, like F2, or real hair, (before I had a teenage daughter). If all else fails you can sometimes find reticles in surplus type places.
Illumination can be from a small LED. Drill the correct sized hole in the eyepiece body side, at about the reticle area, and it should illuminate the crosshair.
Otherwise, keep an eye on Astromart.
Thanks gbeal,
I might try and construct something myself, (there is plenty of hair in this household) and like i said earlier it dosn't have to be real flash, as it is only for onr purpose.

hi gbeal
well i went for it and i think it might just work, had to pull some hair from my neices head, but it's all for a good cause.
Got a little plastic ring that fits perfectlly into the barrel of and older EP, crossed a couple of hais across and just tacked them with areldite.
Now just let that set and dry, and we should be right, i hope.
Cheers Leon

Glad it worked. Just don't use the eyepiece for solar projection!!!
All done, and it came up a real treat, looks very good indeed, and might just work ok. :D
