The great American folk singer and activist Pete Seeger has died at age 94.
Some of the people on here might have protested in anti Vietnam rallies
and sung some of his songs.

What a life!
Hate to admit it but I have one of his records on my record player as I type….
The Weavers Reunion at Carnegie Hall 1963.
'Little Boxes' a classic….
Thanks Ron feeling old now!

As a kid records were a bit expensive so there weren't that many around but two that stand out were 'Jungle Book' with read along book with music from the likes of Ray Brown and Dizzy Gillespie….what a band!!!! who did lots of recordings for Disney stuff, and a 45 record with Little Boxes on side and Where Have All the Flowers Gone on the other. My mum was/is a staunch Irish Catholic and total leftie!
Thanks Mum!

:( He and Woody Guthrie have been part of my musical life since I was 17.
He almost makes 'Claw-hammer' banjo cool :)
