Imagine Curiosity referring to the folks at JPL as "its masters!"
It would go down like a political lead balloon!
Freedom for the probes...

Putting aside all the sniggering & jokes, It's pretty sad really. To get the jade rabbit on the moon in the first place is a technological triumph. It's just too bad the rabbit died of Myxomatosis.

It's terrible that a billion-dollar moon rover died a premature death. Something must have gone wong. :P
More seriously, though, if they can figure out the problem, it can be avoided next time. Thankfully, new video evidence shows the moments leading up to the Jade Rabbit's demise: video evidence (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bb11Tz3xVKY).

"Although I should've gone to bed this morning, my masters discovered something abnormal with my mechanical control system," said the Xinhua report, in the voice of the Jade Rabbit. "My masters are staying up all night working for a solution. I heard their eyes are looking more like my red rabbit eyes."
I would say the problem was the poor thing was to small and immature to be doing a grownups job.
Baby talk from space ships, the chinese love their animatrons. It must be like real life Manga for the techs.
