Interesting colours. Did you use eyepiece projection for this image?

No, just prime focus

Ah so the other eta was with the 80mm refractor and this one with the 8" f5 newt?

You wouldn't believe it, but I can't remember; but judging by the
image scale it must have been the 80mm. At the moment I am not
using the imager's bible[ a log book]. This image was left more or less
to it's own devices in that the luminance was adjusted a bit, but the
RGB was left linked, so that no individual colour was favoured, and
finally saturated to what I thought was not an overdone level. Note
that all subs were very short, no longer ones, so maybe you get a preponderance of easily registered nebular colour, and little or none
of the harder to register colour. You could possibly play with
different combinations of sub lengths, and get quite different results.

Nice pic, I got similar colours when I first imaged Eta C and did minimal processing.

Pretty good for 8sec exposures Ray.
I tried imaging eta carina for the first time a couple of nights ago and with 2 minute exposures on an 8" f4 newt and didn't get much more than this.
So you are either doing something very we'll or I'm missing something somewhere but either way, this looks pretty good

nice job Raymo, i would reckon that was with the newt. good to see you've upped the number of subs!
btw it also looks very similar to my eta carina shots too!
cheers

Thanks Goran and Russ. With only 8 sec subs I was able to enable
noise reduction without waiting an age between subs.
