NGC 2438 and the Calabash nebula in colour

Here's a colour version of NGC2438 and the Calabash nebula. The image is a full resolution crop. Perhaps a bit over stretched but I wanted to bring out as much of the faint stuff as possible.

Nice result Steve, that outer most ring is pretty fain huh? ;) the baby's rattle stands out nicely though, well done :thumbsup:

Thanks Mike. It sure is faint all right. As usual more exposure would have helped but the law of diminishing returns was beckoning so I thought that was long enough.
