I have for sale a pair of these giant 100mm 45 degree binoculars the same as those available from Andrews for $2499 right here ...
http://www.andrewscom.com.au/site-section-11.htm

I bought these with the intention of seeing more dark sky sites, but it just hasn't panned out that way, so I may as well pass them to someone who can do this beautiful instrument some justice.

The supplied wooden tripod was ok, but not for binocs this heavy imo. And I found that for me, and probably most other people, a height adjustable heavy duty tripod was absolutely critical otherwise you just are never going to see zenith without breaking your neck.

However, with this Manfrotto 161MK2B tripod, height adjustment is ultra quick, and the assembly is extremely sturdy in any breeze or wind.

In addition, the Manfrotto dolly allows you to slide the whole lot safely and easily over solid ground. I don't have the wooden tripod any longer, I'm sorry.

I only used this binocular with TV Plossls, and the views are great - crisp and clear to the edge. But the couple of people I know who have owned this model binocular, say the TV Panoptics are sensational.

Until I decide otherwise, I'd like to offer the whole lot together initially, at what I consider to be a great price.

OK, to business ...and remember, everything here is in absolutely brand spanking new condition with not a mark on any of it.

Manfrotto 161Mk2B Tripod FOR SALE at ..... $420 (currently A$625 at http://bigbinoculars.com/3058.htm) - SOLD

Manfrotto 181B Dolly to suit FOR SALE at ... $222 (currently A$329 same site) - SOLD

BT100-45 Giant Binocs FOR SALE at .......... $1100 (currently A$2499 at Andrews but they do come with a wooden tripod) - SOLD

2 x TV Plossl EPs 25mm ........................... $75 each (currently $139 at Bintel http://www.bintel.com.au/Eyepieces-and-Barlows/TeleVue-/Plossl/107/catmenu.aspx) - SOLD

I have the original packaging for the Manfrotto tp and dolly. And the Binocs are complete with a sturdy aluminium case which I'll wrap in cardboard in the same way they were delivered to me.

Freight will be extra of course, and I recommend e-GO because of their reliability and very reasonable cost. There'll be 3 parcels.

Enquiries by PM please.

Cheers guys,

Paul

Hey Guys,

a quick bump for anyone interested before I put them on ebay or scumtree.

The price of the binocs is reduced by a cool $150 to just $950 for this beautiful instrument.

Any takers ?
