View Full Version here: : Rcw 49
Not all that often imaged. This is RCW 49 in Carina. 120:60:60 Ha, SII, OIII as RGB respectively. 10" SCT at f/6.3, Atik 383L+ struggling to get to -15 degrees in the heat, with guiding a bloody nightmare as the uncooled guide camera kept seeing hot pixels and jumping all over the shop.

I like the colour palette. Looks like a tricky one to shoot. Not seen this one before but looks like it goes by Gum 29 as well.
It is a bit tricky. I've done a bit more stretching to bring out the faint stuff and put that up instead. Also a Hubble palette version, which seems to show the detail a little more.

A nice photo of an unusual object.
