Very nice tony.
Have you found a suitable focal reducer yet for the 200R?

Nope Andrew,
I decided I was going to get the CCDT67 from Astro physics but boy you should see what you need to do just to buy a $200 focal reducer....it's about time they got with the times and set up an account on Paypal.....I felt like I was buying a house and needed a solicitor present....lol

Ok Tony. So how did you fit the Hubble into that tiny little shed. Or do you have a slide off roof for the house now:confuse2:

very nice indeed, the HA makes the dark globules show up well.
He can easily fit the hubble in his shed as its the Tardis observatory, as we all know a Tardis is bigger on the inside than outside lol.
Yes theres good weather up there, but not here, looks like we wont see any night sky till well into next week over Newcastle :(
Wow that's a stunning image Tony.
Well done my friend.

I have done a few lately that I posted....1 with full moon NGC4945 with bright moon and one faint galaxy not a particuly exciting galaxy M61.
Imaging galaxy's at F10 I am finding the exposures need to be very very long to get any detail but saying that I will keep going until I find a decent focal reducer.
PS hahah seeker
Well done Tony. :painting:
:lol2: @ Narayan
thats cool tony :)
an edgel preserving smooth in psp will remover the graininess (if desired)
Striker
17-07-2006, 01:32 PM
Thanks Ving...their is many ways to remove the grain but whilst doing so you will lose detail in the nebula....I didn't take as many shots with the HA image...that is why their is more grain in HA then the coloured version...double the exposure were done for the colour.
Thanks Guys.

I think that out cameras are disadvantaged with imaging in one colour (like H alpha) as only the red pixels are activated, the blue and green ones arent, so we are only getting roughly a 3rd of our sensors, where as a dedicated monochrome camera like a SBIG or Starlight Xpress one will deliver full sensor information no matter broad or narrowband imaging

True Scott but I like the price of a DSLR compared to a tiny chip CCD.
Something with a CCD chip size the size of a DSLR chip costs over $10000 5 times the price. so you would most definelty want the camera to perform well at that cost.

Yes indeed. Id only see me owning a SBIG camera, particularily a large format chip one if I won lotto LOL.
