Hey guys,

Trying out the free trial of Pixinsight at the moment, as my Fiance is buying me a photo canvas for my upcoming Birthday.
This is my first attempt at using the software to process anything and already I am impressed as this has hands down beaten anything I have done in Photoshop... My question is how far do I have left to go.

This is about 30mins of data (21 x 90seconds at 800iso) taken at Wiruna during SPSP
Equipment
Takahashi FSQ106EDXIII
Canon 60D
EQ6

This was literally the first image I took with my Tak, the scope that got me back in to astronomy (after spending many years struggling with an old, cheap Newt).

All criticism is welcome.
Thanks

It is a very good image. Perhaps you can do more with it, but less is more with processing, sometimes.

Excellent work Entropy. If you can get several hours of data to get more detail.
Regards
David

hi,

Nice first light and processing. But it does look a lot softer than others i've seen with an FS106 as these are known for their sharpness.
are the individual subs soft as well? focus perhaps?
but that's nice detail for 30 minutes. That is a dream scope.
look forward to more.

Cheers
Alistair
