Met up with a few ASSA members last night after hearing on another thread that Paul was doing an all nighter on Granite Island.
Sadly, no Aurora for us, but we got some airglow and fresh air, and saw plenty of wildlife.
This shot was the last one I took just after 4am, and it's probably overcooked and noisy, but after the time put into this (2hr drive to get there) I really needed to see some colour.
Thanks for all the asto advice from the guys there, and the multitude of interesting conversations. It was a enjoyable night regardless of the lack of beams!!
Now for some caffeine :)
Cheers
Bob
Just checked the preview and the compression is killing it a bit. Looking forward to seeing if Paul will upload a much better one later from his better set up.
Edit: gear was Nikon D7000 with sigma 10-20mm at 10mm F4
