Managed to do some actual astronomy today for the first time in a while. Conditions were pretty poor, but I managed to get some sunlight through the cirrus when the heavier stuff wasn't being frustrating. Only about 10 frames 1/1000 sec, ISO 100 from the Canon 450D, WO 110 Megrez, Lunt Herchell wedge, televue 4X powermate. Stacked in Registax 5.1, processed in Photoshop CS 5, Topaz 3 Detail plug-in.

Anne-Louise got some images of the Sun in New Years Day when AR 1944 was on the limb. 4 x Canon 50D, 1/800 sec ISO 100, ZenithStar 71, w/Baader solar film, static tripod, cropped 50%, processed Photoshop CS5, Topaz Detail 3 plug-in..

Repro of the data, better conversion of the CR2 files to tiffs.
