Once people have replied to a thread, you can't delete it. Or, if it's older than 2 weeks old.

No one has replied and I only posted today at 14:44 this afternoon.

The easy way is to hit the red button with the white X in it to report it. Then we can delete it... no guess work involved then.;) Sounds like from what Mike's said, you should've been able to delete though...

Al there is no facility to delete my thread, this is all i Have
You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may post attachments
You may edit your posts
No where is there a place that gives me the right to delete my thread.
I really don't want to have to ask the mods to delete my threads if I change my mind about what I have written.
It is usually that one goes into Edit, it is either there, or Go Advanced and find it there, but it is in neither place.
I have in the past been able to delete my threads but not now.
It is in this post here at the bottom, but not on my original post that I am concerned.
Cheers:thumbsup:

I've deleted it now anyway, Ron.
I would've thought that when you edited your post (in advanced edit) there would be a delete this post panel at the top:shrug:? Maybe even a delete button at the bottom RHS in the normal edit window (or am I just seeing moderator stuff?:P)

It's there for us plebs, too. :) After selecting Edit, select Go Advanced and the panel is at the top of the page.
There might be some setting in vB, though, that limits thread editing/deleting rights. I seem to recall (from previous forum duties) that users could be barred from editing a thread (as distinct from a single post) which may prevent thread deletion.

Al I have been on iceinspace long enough now to know how to delete something, which I have no problem to do so in the past.
In this case the facility was not there in any position, that is why I made the inquiry
Cheers:thumbsup:

I've had a similar problem in the past and had to ask mods to delete a post which was a new thread.
