Bedding in of the new 12" setup continues with Polar alignment and Guiding now activated. Having a lot of trouble with EQMod talking to other programs. Gives me control of the EQ8 but other programs like Maxim, Stellarium will not slew the scope and they don't know where it's pointing. I have to flash the firmware as well because the dreaded guiding spike is showing up at odd intervals.

Meanwhile, Here is my first proper pic with the system.
GSO F4 12" Newtonian, ASA Wynne Corrector, F3.6. QHY10, Lodestar guiding via OAG. Maxim, CCDStack, PS6.
10 X 300 secs, 2 X 120 secs, 3 X 20 secs

Still very short on time, QHY is always noisy without enough exposure.

Thanks for looking.

All the best

Lots of detail showing up there Paul, but there seems to be a bit of tilt somewhere. The stars on the right of the pic are nice and round, but are slightly oval on the left hand side. Still, it takes time to bed in a new system, so it's going well.

I have some tube flex when the system points in certain directions. I'm looking to get it sorted with a bigger dovetail and maybe a third ring. Test pic in CCD inspector showed tilt X +0.1" Y -0.1" On this pic its X -0.3" Y -0.2" Curvature moved from 11.2% to 23.8%. Isn't it always a work in progress to chase these things :)

Not chasing the camera too much as an Atik 11000 is in the post and should arrive any moment (hope hope).

Cheers

Paul
