Finally finished the dew shield l mentioned in the other thread, changed the design a couple of times so it took a bit longer than l thought, who would think a tube takes that much working out.
Decided to make the final one out of mild steel, galvanised of course, painted flat black inside and baked enamel Meade blue outside.
lt has 4 locating screws that secure into the tube recess of the scope, it weighs 2235 grams which in my case balances out somewhat the attachments on the seeing end, adjustable weight system would be needed for perfect balance.
l can make these for any scope, any colour if anyone is interested for a 12" shield it would be about $175 + post.
