Howdy Astro-liano's. Digging this storm season or what ;)
I was fortunate to Not be Blooowwwen off my wet slippery roof Yesty with that Super Guster Wall Shelf barreling up from the Sth :screwy:
Hear that a lot of Brizban'ites had plenty of Destractions/Dramas, hope alls good and nothing too severe with anyone ! This stormage was only half organised here compaired, tho still a quite angry system as in passed, I can only imagine what it was like for you all in its path up thataways :confused2:
Plenty of good photos on the web about too, so, thought to share a few from the Goldy way.
1st, Mother Nature at its best !
2nd, Sunset Rainbow in the East, Goldcoast in distance, oh, dam, not straight horizon :)
3rd, shortly after Sunset !

It was a beauty, alright. Rain was swirling round in circles, horizontally at one point, or pretty close to it. The sunset afterwards was spectacular, too.
Nice shots, especially the first one. Do you ever sell them? Yours are better than many I see in the media, etc.

Haven't even got a thundery since the last one I photographed. Radar shows big boys coming, and all we get is cloud, a little rain. I was hoping if I cannot astro-image, I can at least storm image, but of course, I cannot even bloody do that!
I love the hail green in the first image.

Nice images Bob!
I raced the storm home from work and managed to get the car under the carport with 5 minutes to spare. Horizontal rain and about 50mm worth at that. Very happy as the lawn may have a chance yet to recover!

Thanx Trevor, Tassie a bit far south for serious heating etc, tho a heat wave expected for Sth Aus at the moment, might dip down to Tas and give a surprise for ya ?
Are there any Southern Auroras happening from that large Sunspot your way, seem a few are watching out for them ? ?

Awesome shots Bob!
Looks like your copping up there, remarkable cloud formation in the first image, never tire of these images.
Speaking of copping it, my daughter Rebecca is training to be Qld copper right now. If all goes well she will be posted in 5 months, so I'll have an excuse to get up your way.
Cheers,
Justin.
